The Price Arts Foundation enriches the community through the provision of innovative arts programs that not only provide dance fundamentals, but enhance the personal growth and development of under-served and served youth populations. The foundation is committed to impacting the lives of aspiring youth through structured outreach programs that introduce many to the arts, while providing them creative outlets that reveal limitless possibilities and ascertains their inner most dreams. |

Summer Outreach ProgramsThe Price Arts Foundation inaugural outreach project was held at the Atlanta Union Mission/My Sister's House women and children shelter during the summer of 2009. My Sister's House is the Mission's full service center for women and children. The campus houses 136 women and children in nightly emergency shelter, and it also houses 128 women and children in the Mission's residential recovery program. The foundation introduced 25 shelter residents, ages 3 - 14 years, to the art of dance in a structured format with an emphasis on self discipline, body conditioning and creative expression. In addition, mentoring services were provided by teen-aged volunteers from Price Performing Arts Center as they served as role models and leaders to the program participants. The program was concluded by providing the participants with performance opportunities in a dance exhibition and recognition program. This program aspect adds to the students' personality and increases self confidence. The Price Arts Foundation looks forward to adding additional new programs that will contribute to the development of the outreach program to connect with a significant number of Georgia youth through interactive and educational arts programming.
