MEET OUR FOUNDER

Andrea Price, a native of Atlanta, founded The Price Arts Foundation, Inc. August 1, 2007. She is an accomplished dancer, instructor and choreographer. For over a decade, she has provided instruction for over 1,700 young girls and boys through her dance school—Price Performing Arts Center, located in College Park, Georgia.

Reaching the Artistic Soul of our Youth Through the Education of Dance Since August 2007

The Price Arts Foundation is a not-for-profit organization that provides artistic opportunities for the students of Price Performing Arts Center and the surrounding community through the funding of civic and educational programs:

  • Community Outreach
  • Continuing Education
  • Performance Opportunities
  • Performing Arts Facility Development
  • Scholarship Programs
The provision and funding of these outlets will enhance the cultural diversity of aspiring artists.  Through the programming of this fund, the Price Arts Foundation will enrich the community by serving the financially disadvantaged, providing quality arts programming, and instilling a sincere interest in the art of dance in students of all ages.  The Price Arts Foundation embraces an appreciation for the cultural arts with a strong foundational art emphasis for dance.

MISSION:  It is our mission to enhance the lives of youth populations through the provision of artistic opportunities through excellence in dance training/education, with a special focus on the under-served. 

VISION:  The Price Arts Foundation, Inc. strives to be a leader in the arts through innovative programs that enrich the lives of aspiring young artists that foster continuous personal and professional growth of mind, body and spirit.

ROBERT H. BOLTON President and CEO of R.H. Bolton, Inc.

Atlanta native Robert H. Bolton founded R.H. Bolton, Inc. in 1997. Prominent institutions including Clark Atlanta, Florida A& M, and Johnson C. Smith universities, Morehouse and Spelman colleges have sought his talents in planning signature events. The National Bar Association, The Urban League of Greater Atlanta, The Coca-Cola Company, and UNCF are also among the  noted clients who have received his professional expertise.


The Morehouse alumnus is best lauded for “A Candle in the Dark” Gala he created for the College in 1989, which has grossed $15 million and honored more than 200 achievers including, Sidney Poitier, Oprah Winfrey, Hank Aaron, and Denzel Washington. 
Bolton is an award-winning professional who boasts over 30 years experience in PR and event management. He is also recognized for creating The Pink Frog Affair: An Evening of Poetry, Music and Dance to support breast cancer patients in metro Atlanta.
Bolton is an active member of  Eta Lambda Chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. and Cascade United Methodist Church.

Bolton resides in Atlanta with wife Tammy and daughter, Micah.

VALERIE HAMILTON RN, BSN, MPA, NHA

A graduate of Boston University School of Nursing and Georgia University Graduate School of Administration. She dedicated forty-four (44) years to both Hospital inpatient care and Post Acute Long term Care.   Her care spanned multiple areas of Adult Health. Held several administrative positons and retired while managing an Excellerated care Rehabilitation/Nursing Center. She taught Licensed Practical Nurses Pharmacology for period of time also. She was committed to contributing on multiple committees to impact delivery of healthcare services by the development of center based policy & procedures.

She is a wife a mother of three children, three Grandchildren and two Grand dogs. She is an active member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. and active member of Grace Community Christian Church in Kennesaw, Ga.

ROSELAND YANCEY MCLARIN, TREASURER

Roseland is a native Atlantan.  She attended all Atlanta Schools from Nursery (University Homes) to Elementary (Oglethorpe) to High School (Booker T Washington). Her postsecondary accomplishments also occurred in Atlanta: Spelman College (B.A., 1971) and Atlanta University, now Clark Atlanta University  (M.B.A.,1973).

Roseland’s work experience includes positions at Clark College as Staff And Payroll Accountant, and Payroll Manager at both Spelman and Morehouse Colleges. She has recently retired from Morehouse College. Her mission now is to help others retire comfortably at an early age. This mission encompasses one of her favorite quotes by Anatole France: “To accomplish great things, we must not only act, but also DREAM; not only PLAN, but also BELIEVE.”

As a child, Roseland loved DANCE. In fact, she appeared on one of Atlanta’s TV amateur hours with a group of 7 other dancers.
Both of her daughters, Rosegenee and Rossheda, danced with Andrea when she was a little girl. Rossheda was one of Andrea’s first students when she opened Price Performing Arts Center (P.P.A.C.) on January 10, 1994.

CARL MCCALLA Carl McCalla, an Atlanta native and product of the Atlanta Public School System, is a Partner at the national firm of Constangy, Brooks, Smith & Prophete, headquartered here in Atlanta. He obtained his Bachelor’s degree from Duke University and returned home for law school at the Emory School of Law. He has litigated in the areas of employment law, business disputes, and personal injury for over 25 years, including 8 years as an Administrative Law Judge for the Georgia State Board of Workers’ Compensation. In addition to practicing law, Carl serves as a certified mediator helping resolve disputes and legal actions prior to trial. He enjoys lecturing on any number of topics and educating lawyers, clients, employers and insurance companies on legal tactics and strategies. He is also very active in his community, often volunteering as a coach for local youth basketball and football teams. He enjoys working with young people and supporting their growth in many ways, including having served on prior youth outreach Boards for educational enhancements, health education, healthcare and overall enhanced cultural exposure. Judge McCalla is a devoted family man and enjoys spending time with his wife, Pierrette, and their four children who keep their parents busy throughout the year.

YVONNE GAITHER, SECRETARY

A native of Atlanta, Yvonne Gaither, was educated in the Atlanta Public Schools.  After graduating from Samuel Howard Archer High School, she attended The University of Georgia where she received a B.S. and M.Ed. degree in Marketing Education.  She also earned an Ed.S. (Education Specialist in Leadership and Supervision) from Lincoln Memorial University. In addition, Mrs. Gaither completed internships in the hospitality industry at Hyatt Regency Atlanta and Johnson and Wales University College of Hospitality Management.
During her 30-year career with the Atlanta Public School System she taught marketing courses and served as on-the-job training coordinator. She also served on numerous state and local curriculum committees, textbook adoption committees, discipline committee, principal’s leadership team, and chaired the Student Support Team.
Mrs. Gaither is married and has two daughters and two grandsons. Her daughters received dance instruction at PPAC  and were members of the Price Performing Company.

MARGARET FLOYD, Microbiologist

Margaret M. Floyd is a Microbiologist with a concentration in Mycobacteriology. She was employed by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, U. S. Public Health Services, Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) in Atlanta, GA. She retired from the service after 37 years.


She served as a consultant on identification techniques using High Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC). She collaborated with researchers in activities related to identification of mycobacteria some of which resulted in the recognition, characterization and naming of a new genus and two new unique species of mycobacteria.


Mrs. Floyd was nominated and received the Public Health Service Special Service Award and the Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. Project Cherish Award for achievements in the area of science. She has to her credit 35 abstracts and peer reviewed articles in scientific publications including the Journal of Clinical Microbiology, Emerging and Infectious Diseases and the International Journal of Systematic and Evolutionary Bacteriology. Among other awards, honors and achievements she also served as the only African American member of the Steering Committee of the HPLC Users Group, a CDC  Equal Employment Opportunity counselor, and as the first chair of the CDC Upward Mobility College Program.


Mrs. Floyd is married to Eddie J. Floyd and they have three adult children.
